This notice explains what personal information Lua Farms Enterprises Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it and how you can use your rights.
Who we are
Lua Farms Enterprises Ltd is a Tanzanian agribusiness focused on high-quality pig genetics, premium pork production and farmer empowerment. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact us about your information using the details on our Contact page or through the contact form on this website.
What our forms collect and why
We only collect what you type into a form, and we use it only to answer that request: to arrange training or a consultation, to take a pork order, to answer a question about an animal, to note interest in a Lua Pork Mart in your region, or to reply to a general message. Each form collects:
- Training Application
- Full Name, Phone Number, WhatsApp Number, Region, District, Are you already farming pigs?, Number of pigs currently owned, What is your main farming stage, Preferred training format, When would you like to start?, What is the main challenge or support you need?, Additional comments.
- Book a Consultation
- Full Name, Phone Number, WhatsApp Number, Region, Topic, Preferred date, Preferred format, Message.
- Request Lua Pork Mart in Your Area
- Full Name, Phone Number, Region, District, Products you would buy.
- Order enquiry
- Full Name, Phone Number, Products and quantity, Delivery or pickup, Region.
- Breeding animal enquiry
- Full Name, Phone Number, Message.
- General contact
- Full Name, Phone Number, Email, Message.
With each form we also keep the page it was sent from and the time it was sent. To stop automated spam we use a hidden field, a signed time stamp and Cloudflare Turnstile; Turnstile checks your browser and your IP address at that moment, and we do not store your IP address with your submission.
QR code scans
When someone opens an animal or pork batch page by scanning its QR code, we record that the page was opened, an approximate location (country, region and city as provided by our network provider) and the kind of device. We do not store the IP address, and we cannot tell who scanned the code.
Who can see your information
Only Lua Farms staff who handle enquiries can see form submissions. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for 24 months after we have handled them. After that, your name, phone numbers, email address and message are removed, and only anonymous counts remain.
Where your information is stored
This website and its database run on servers rented from our hosting provider. Cloudflare carries the website's traffic and provides the spam check, and Sentry receives error reports from the website without form contents, cookies or IP addresses. These providers may process data outside Tanzania; we use them only for running this website.
Your rights
Under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. To use these rights, contact us by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form, and tell us which form you sent and roughly when. We will answer within the time the Act requires.
If you are not happy with our answer, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies to track you and has no advertising. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie needed for the spam check.
